Job Description Bookkeeper/Office Administrator Semiahmoo Residents Association (SRA) is a premiere large scale resort community located in Blaine, just north of Bellingham Washington. SRA provides a variety of administrative and maintenance functions for association members. We take pride in providing exceptional customer service to members, guests, and our partners in the greater Semiahmoo community. SRA is seeking a full-time bookkeeper/office administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for bookkeeping, basic payroll, member database maintenance, office, and online file organization. The candidate for this position must be well organized with a penchant for detail. We are looking for someone who is a team-player, can successfully work independently, show initiative, and is self-motivated. This position requires the ability to present and interact professionally in person, over the phone, and via email; therefore, excellent writing and literacy skills are a must. The successful applicant possesses up to date computer skills and is proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with financial software conversions would be highly preferred. Essential Responsibilities Perform daily accounting operations assuring accurate, efficient, and complete posting of payments, deposits, and incoming invoices. Assist General Manager in preparing vendor payables for weekly approval by the Board of Directors. Assist the General Manager with preparation of monthly financial statements. Examine the general ledger for anomalies and make corrections. Review and record accounting journal entries to properly reflect monthly activity. Assist General Manager in bi-annual billing process for members--- dues and follow up in A/R aging Basic office tasks --- front desk shift, filing, data entry, scanning, email communication. Qualifications Bachelor---s degree or associate degree in accounting. Hands on general accounting experience a plus. Recent graduates welcome to apply.
