Job Description:
Lynden Door is looking to add an Administrative Assistant to
Safety reports directly to the Safety Manager. This role performs a
variety of professional assignments in support of Lynden Door
Family of Companies Occupational Health and Safety to ensure
compliance with applicable workplace safety regulations.
Responsibilities will include working closely with the Safety
Manager in updating and maintaining policy assisting with employee
injury documentation and incidents around the facility.The ideal
candidate will possess strong organization skills and experienced
in excel formulas for data management; takes initiative, strong
communications skills to effectively and clearly communicate in
oral and written communications the appropriate information and has
the personal effectiveness to follow through and complete
assignments and meet deadlines.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining recordkeeping for injury/illness cases in
accordance with OSHA requirements
- Keep records of safety-related incidents
- Ability to objectively interpret gather and analyze data;
prepare clear and concise reports; learn rapidly; makes
recommendations to resolve any problems or issues identified
- Helps in the coordinating of safety training classes and
programs; reviews documentation of independent safety training
conducted in departments.
- Schedules and takes notes at the monthly safety committee
meetings; attends a variety of safety-related department and
committee meetings.
- Performs research and special projects as assigned; maintains a
variety of records and files related to the work; prepares reports
and other written materials.
- Assists safety manger in research and drafting policies and
procedures related to employee health and safety.Competencies

Proficient in MS Office (especially
