TimeDescriptionThe Department of Neurobiology & Biophysics at the
University of Washington announces a search for a full-time
non-tenure track position with a 12-month service period, July 1 -
June 30 at the Research Assistant Professor level. Anticipated
start Summer/Autumn 2025. A successful candidate is expected to
develop an independent research program. This position will use
skills including development and maintenance of Drosophila fly
lines, electromyography of fly muscles, calcium imaging and
whole-cell patch clamp recordings of Drosophila leg motor neurons
and interneurons in behaving flies, as well as familiarity with
G-protein-coupled receptors, connectomics analysis (including the
Allen Institute's CAVE interface), and electroretinogram
measurements. All University of Washington faculty engage in
teaching, research, and service.The base salary range for this
position will be $6958 to $7357 per month ($83,491-$88,290 per
year) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as
mandated by a US Department of Labor prevailing wage
determination.QualificationsCandidates must have a Ph.D. (or
foreign equivalent) in a relevant field.Application
