CHANGEThe Safety Manager contributes to the mission of Plymouth
Housing by effectively managing and executing Plymouth Housing’s
safety and security program and plans to ensure a safe, secure, and
welcoming environment for all who live, work and visit.The position
is responsible for evaluating practices and policies, coordinating
training sessions, monitoring safety compliance, investigating
incidents and accidents, and providing recommendations for
continuous improvement. The Safety Manager works closely with all
internal stakeholders and may be required to respond to safety
incidents at all hours. This position serves a vital role
supporting an equitable and inclusive organizational culture and
fostering a positive employee experience. Plymouth Housing is a
nonprofit organization that develops and operates permanent
supportive housing for single adults who have experienced chronic
homelessness. With apartment buildings throughout King County,
Plymouth is helping the most vulnerable members of our community
leave homelessness behind forever. At Plymouth, we’re not simply
trying to get people off the streets. We provide supportive
services like case management and health care so that our residents
can thrive long-term. As part of our strategic vision, we are
building internal behavioral health services and transforming our

residents.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH
HOUSINGLeadership and ManagementPartner with internal teams to lead
safety initiatives and promote an inclusive, equitable
culture.Provide strategic input on safety policies and oversee
implementation across departments.Safety and Security Compliance
ManagementConduct site inspections, investigate incidents, and
ensure compliance with safety standards.Lead audits, hazard
analyses, and emergency preparedness efforts.Coordinate and deliver
safety trainings and drills.Committee CoordinationChair the Safety
Committee and guide cross-functional safety strategies.Collaborate
with departments to address resident-related safety concerns.SOME
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES WE NEED FROM YOUStrong
communication skills and ability to engage effectively with diverse
groups.Experience in environmental and personal safety
compliance.Ability to develop inclusive safety strategies that
address various identities and needs.Detail-oriented with strong
analytical and organizational skills.High adaptability with
technology, including Microsoft Office
tools.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in relevant field or
equivalent professional experience is required.Minimum three (3)
years’ experience working within a safety and security environment.
Management experience desired.Experience in the nonprofit sector,
and or social services is desired. Familiarity with working with
local safety resources is desired. WORK SCHEDULEMonday - Friday,
8am – 5pm (hours can be flexible based on safety
incidents/emergency responses).This position may be required to
respond to safety/grief incidents and needs to be available 24/7
