Amazon internships across all seasons are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work-day. You will be part of a project team you will work alongside Senior Electrical Engineers; supporting the design, debug, validation and optimization of the products. You will be involved in projects from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle. You will also support engineering builds gaining experience with high volume manufacturing. Key job responsibilities As a Hardware Development Engineer intern you will collaborate with experienced cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality systems for Amazon Leo's satellite manufacturing operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive quality assurance, process improvements, and testing protocols. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to thrive in an open collaborative environment. • Develop quality control plans, MSAs, and statistical process control systems • Perform data analysis using Lean Six Sigma methodologies and analytical tools • Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing execution systems • Conduct fixture and tooling design validation and debug activities A day in the life Our internship program provides hands-on learning and building experiences for students who are interested in a career in hardware engineering.
