Job Description:
Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our
mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to
customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual

in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control
Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations,
candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent
resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted
into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Amazon internships
across all seasons are full-time positions, and interns should
expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week
typically between 8am-5pm. Specific team norms around working hours
will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have
conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon
work-day. Applicants should have a minimum of one
quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their

alongside Senior Electrical Engineers; supporting the design,
debug, validation and optimization of the products. You will be
involved in projects from concept through production, gaining
exposure to the complete design lifecycle. You will also support
engineering builds gaining experience with high volume
manufacturing. Key job responsibilities As a Hardware Development
Engineer intern you will collaborate with experienced
cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality systems for
Amazon Leo's satellite manufacturing operations. You will work
closely with internal teams and external partners to drive quality
assurance, process improvements, and testing protocols. You must be
responsive, flexible, and able to thrive in an open collaborative
environment. • Develop quality control plans, MSAs, and statistical
process control systems • Perform data analysis using Lean Six
Sigma methodologies and analytical tools • Support continuous
improvement initiatives and manufacturing execution systems •
Conduct fixture and tooling design validation and debug activities
A day in the life Our internship program provides hands-on learning
and building experiences for students who are interested in a
career in hardware engineering. In addition to working on an
impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with
Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand
your network, and participate in fun activities with other interns
throughout the summer. No matter the location of your internship,
we give you the tools to own your internship and learn in a
real-world setting. - Are 18 years of age or older - Work 40
hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum - Are
enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the
United States - Knowledge of analog and digital skills - Knowledge
of schematic design and debug skills - Experience with embedded
systems - Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree
in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems
Engineering, or other equivalent discipline, with an expected
conferral date between October 2026 – December 2029. - Experience
that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and
effective communication abilities - Experience in manufacturing,
process, or industrial engineering - Experience with lean
