Job Description:

Lynden Door is looking for the right candidate to join our Operations Leadership as the Supply Chain Manager to continuing to grow and nurture strong vendor relationships, while managing and coordinating product purchasing, market forecasting, inventory planning, product programs, lead time and inbound logistics.
Founded in 1978, Lynden Door is a family owned and operated business that has been serving customers needs for over 40 years as one of the leading producers or residential, commercial, and architectural doors in the U.S. and Canada.
Located in small town nestled on the Canadian border on 52-acre site 2 hours north of Seattle, Lynden Door's history is deeply rooted in a sincere faith and humble trust in God, with a desire to extend our "family" atmosphere to all our customers, suppliers, and employees.
Hours: 40 hours per week
RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Management of the Supply Chain:

    • Manage activities related to strategic purchasing, MRP, supplier risk analysis, and inventory control.
    • Negotiate pricing strategies for core programs.
    • Balance inventory turns and minimize stock outages and material waste.
    • Product Innovation bring new products/ideas to the table; evaluate new product requests.
    • Inbound Logistics - Maintain reliable and cost-effective inbound logistics partnerships and routes.


    • Build and maintain a purchasing team to meet the raw material needs of the company:

      • Ensure that staff are well trained negotiation, buying methods, product and manufacturing knowledge.
      • Create and maintain effective buying tools for transaction processing for large, fast paced, make to order operation with thousands of raw material items.
      • Purchase quality materials, balancing needs of customers and operations with effective cost control.


      • Build a Culture of Continuous Improvement Elimination of waste and understanding of value streams and flow.

        QUALIFICATIONS:

        • A passion for serving others
        • minimum of 5 years experience managing multiple departments containing no less than 5 team members each.
        • 5 years of Industry experience
        • Ability to lead and develop an engaged team encouraging trust, respect and cooperation
        • Ability to represent the company to vendors and outside organizations in a manner that reflects the company Statement of Purpose
        • Effective communication/teamwork with other departments and all levels of the organization
        • Excellent negotiation skills
        • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
        • Innovative thinker that can create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products
        • Warehouse inventory systems knowledge or experience.
        • High level understanding of ERP and MRP systems, and ability to learn new software systems

          • Proficient at Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
