Traveler is hiring an RN for a hospice position requiring a WA or
compact RN license and prior home health or hospice nursing
experience. Responsibilities - Position based in a hospice setting
- Provides care for hospice patients with end-of-life needs -
Variable evening shifts with a mix of 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts -
May be on-call for night shift phone calls or home visits -
Candidates may float to different units as needed - Coordinate and
manage patient care according to individualized plans and physician
orders - Provide education and instruction to patients and
caregivers - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure
comprehensive care - Assist with family bereavement services
following patient death - Holiday coverage may be required
depending on unit needs - First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility; local candidates
are not accepted - Travelers must be separated from prior
employment within the health system for at least one year - Fully
vaccinated candidates are required; booster not required
Requirements - Active WA or compact RN license, or proof of
application at the time of consideration - Graduation from an
accredited school of nursing is required; BSN preferred - Minimum 1
year of home health or hospice/end-of-life nursing experience
required - Current BLS certification required - Valid driver's
license and proof of auto insurance required upon hire - Minimum 1
year of Epic experience required - Experience applying age-specific
