Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Silverdale, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,259 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: PCU Nursing Float – Stepdown Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Experience: Minimum 2 years License: WA or Compact License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to float to various PCU units Description: This position involves working in a stepdown nursing unit. The unit has a total of 32 beds and operates with specific patient ratios. The ratio for nurses is 1:4, while the ratio for nurse aides is 1:8-12. This is a very busy unit with high patient turnover. Common diagnoses include CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain, ACS, CHF, acute and chronic renal failure, respiratory failure/distress, DKA/HHNK, PE/DVT, afib, and pre/post surgical cardiac procedures. Nurses are expected to read telemetry strips and monitor patients remotely. There is a charge nurse on duty, along with access to an IV team and a pharmacy on site 24/7. Registered nurses should be familiar with administering various IV drips and managing multiple patient scenarios. Experience with Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) is a plus, but not required. The team is cohesive and welcomes travelers as integral members. Weekend and holiday shifts are required on an alternating basis. Each clinician will have the opportunity to float to different floors as needed.
