services. About our Patient Care Team Lead position Under the
supervision and direction of the health center manager, monitors
and improves patient flow while providing support to patients and
co-workers. Performs, with accuracy and timeliness, a variety of
clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health
center. What will you be doing! Monitoring and making corrections
to ensure efficient patent flow and overall health center
efficiency. Serving as a knowledgeable resource to co-workers and
keeps the health center manager informed through active problem
solving and reporting. Responding to patient requests and
coordinating services. Answering questions, providing patient
education and referrals. Providing excellent customer service to
patients and co-workers. Ensuring exam rooms are prepared.
Performing all front and back-office responsibilities as required
by the health center. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring patient flow
in both front and back office and assists in the immediate
correction of health center flow issues. Facilitates solutions and
improvements to decrease patient wait time and improve efficiency.
Collaborating with health center managers and clinician(s) to
maximize efficiency in the health center and minimize patient wait
times; makes recommendations about changes to policies and
procedures in the health center. Serving as a knowledgeable
resource for staff and volunteers on health center operations and
organization’s policies and procedures and actively seeks to ensure
compliance. Monitoring and maintaining supply inventory by checking
stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies;
assists health center manager with inventory management. Supporting
the health center team by proactively communicating about center
needs, correcting irregularities in service provision and
facilitating problem-solving among team members; documents and
communications activities and outcomes. Performing tasks in the
front office, including but not limited to checking patients in and
out; selling supplies; answering phones; quoting fees; order and
maintaining supplies; running reports; and collecting required data
Participating in the revenue cycle by maintaining patient accounts;
obtaining, recording and updating financial information at
appropriate intervals; recording and collecting patient payments
and following organizational guidelines to improve collections and
minimize uncompensated care Keeping health center manager informed
by reviewing, analyzing, problem solving, and reporting activities
of the health center in the absence of the health center manager.
Collecting and accurately charting information pertaining to
patient visits, including vitals; in-office lab tests and
procedures and information received from patients Performing tasks
in the back office including, but not limited to preparing exam
rooms; rooming patients; assisting the clinician; performing lab
tests; ordering and maintaining supplies; maintaining logs and
manuals Demonstrating competency in performing trans-vaginal and
abdominal ultrasounds Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of
universal precautions, sterile technique and hazardous waste
disposal Performing all lab tests, collection and packaging of lab
specimens in compliance with the organization, lab and state
policies/procedures Demonstrating sufficient competency with
trans-vaginal and abdominal ultrasounds so as to be capable of
precepting staff who are still building skills; this includes
observing and coaching on best practices Serving as an assistant
and support person to licensed staff members during procedures
including abortion (surgical and medication) vasectomy, colposcopy,
LEEP, HTS, and other procedures performed at PPGNHAIK. Minimum
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
Qualifications: One- or two-years’ experience in an office or
medical setting Medical Assistant- Certified Salary Range:
Non-exempt $22.65 - $44.42 hourly Position Type: Full-time This is
