Job SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, staff development and performance management, -benefits administration, monitoring leaves, employee events, maintaining personnel files, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will also oversee the firm's training and learning programs and plays an integral role in maintaining the firm's status as an employer of choice. - -Job ResponsibilitiesThe Human Resources Generalist reports to the CEO providing support and coordination in the following areas: -
--- New employee recruiting process ---- New hire experience and orientation processes ---- Work closely with service line leaders and stakeholders to determine hiring needs for the firm and fill those roles--- Offboarding process for terminated personnel ---- Facilitates the annual review process ---- Conduct compensation and benefit studies annually ---- Reviews and approves individual role descriptions for all staff--- Responsible for existing staff retention, including the administration of staff programs, including overseeing the employee events, staff training & learning programs and performance management programs--- Take ownership of the end-to-end logistics for online and in-person continuing professional education (CPE) programs on behalf of staff (i.e., scheduling enrollments, researching vendors, tracking CPE)--- Develops with leaders and manages training and learning plans for all staff--- Monitors CPE plan and tracking to ensure compliance for all partners and staff and specific requirements for soft skills training ---- Oversees the firm's:--- Simple IRA--- Health, dental, and disability insurance--- Vacation/holiday policies--- Helps establish the firm culture as an attractive place to work--- Maintain HR department files--- Knowledgeable with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.--- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.--- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements--- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field - ---- 3+ years of experience in the human resources field ---- PHR or SPHR certification preferred ---- Strong recruiting skills - ---- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to command a room, enthusiastically presenting new hires and firm initiatives ---- Approachable and trustworthy demeanor to manage conflict and confidential situations - ---- Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task ---- Must be able to work independently and/or as a part of a team ---- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer software applications
CompensationRange: $60,000 - $70,000/year
