Job Description:
Are you interested in building hyper-scale database services in

Amazon Aurora is a MySQL and Postgres compatible, relational
database service that combines the speed and availability of
high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and
cost-effectiveness of open source databases. It provides up to five
times better performance than MySQL at a price point one tenth that
of a commercial database while delivering similar performance and
availability. Amazon Aurora is powered by an auto-scaling,
auto-healing, distributed storage cluster of massive world-wide
scale. Amazon Aurora Storage platform team is looking for
experienced software engineers who are excited about building large
scale systems spanning tens of thousands of servers, across
multiple data-centers worldwide. These are core systems development
positions where you will own the design and development of
significant software components critical to our industry leading
database services architect-ed for the cloud. In this hands on
position you will be asked to do everything from building
rock-solid components to mentoring other engineers. You need to not
only be a top software developer with a good track record of
delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and
customer focus. This is a unique and rare opportunity to get in on

responsibilities Our engineers collaborate across diverse teams,
projects, and environments to have a firsthand impact on our global
customer base. You’ll bring a passion for innovation, data, search,
analytics, and distributed systems. You’ll also: Solve challenging
technical problems, often ones not solved before, at every layer of
the stack. Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative
software solutions to transform service performance, durability,
cost, and security. Build high-quality, highly available, always-on
products. Research implementations that deliver the best possible
experiences for customers. A day in the life As you design and code
solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software
architecture, you’ll create metrics, implement automation and other
improvements, and resolve the root cause of software defects.
You’ll also: Build high-impact solutions to deliver to our large
customer base. Participate in design discussions, code review, and
communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Work
cross-functionally to help drive business decisions with your
technical input. Work in a startup-like development environment,

professional software development experience - 1 years of
non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability
and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 1 years of
designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded,
embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and
services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience - Bachelor's
degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or equivalent - 3
years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered,

tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
experience - Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
