Community Support Specialist - WISe Program - Skagit County

The Community Support Specialist provides in-home and community
support and supervision for children and families. This includes
implementation of the treatment plan and communicating with foster
parents, parents, therapists, and other treatment team members.
Status: This position is Part-time Variable 0-37.5 hours per week.
Must be available to work after school hours during the school
year. Starting Salary/Hourly Rate: $16.56 - $17.39/hr. DOE, plus
excellent holiday / vacation / sick pay and health benefits! For
internal candidates/union positions only: Compensation is set by
agreed to language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between
CCSNW & SEIU 1199NW and determined based on experience. MAJOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow service plan as developed and
directed: + Child supervision or monitoring. + Planning and
participating in social/recreational activities with child. +
Assisting in developing childs social skills; role modeling. +
Tutoring or assistance with school work and other specific skills.
+ Listening/supporting companionship. + Transportation as
requested. + Providing parental respite or in-home support as
specified by treatment team. + Other specific activities as
assigned. Attend team meetings: + Provider team meetings, as
requested. + Case staffing, consultation, as requested. + CSS
supervision - one-to-one and/or group, as assigned.
Paperwork/Documentation: + Complete documentation of contacts with
clients in timely and appropriate fashion. + Complete billing
documents in timely manner. + Other written reports and
documentation as required. Access to and protection of PHI: +
Responsible for upholding a culture of privacy and security in
highly confidential work environment (HIPAA covered entity service
area). + Complies with all CCSWW policies and procedures that
involve access to and safeguarding of client Protected Health
Information (all forms). Other work related duties as required.
MINIMUM: + 1 year direct experience working with children in a
professional setting and/or demonstrated life experience. + Ability
and willingness to obtain WA State Agency Affiliate Counselor
Certification. + Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers
license and current automobile insurance. + Proof of acceptable
driving record (Full Record Driving Abstract from the WA DOL). +
Some College or post high school education. + CPR/First Aid
Certified (Infant/Child/ Adult). + Ability to work with minimum
supervision. + Knowledgeable of family and cultural differences. +
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work as
part of a team model. + Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and

History Background Checks are required prior to employment.
PREFERRED: + Bachelors Degree in Social Services, Counseling or
related field. + Knowledge of child development and parenting
