Housing and Recovery Peer Services Supervisor Posting #20-077 Major Duties: The HARPS/Pathfinder Supervisor works closely with the Program Director and is responsible for the oversight and supervision of all HARPS/Pathfinder peer support specialists. In fulfilling these duties, the incumbent performs the following duties independently: Provide supervision to peer support specialists and conduct regular staff meetings; Ensure a safe and confidential environment that promotes recovery and success for participants; Function as team leader to ensure proper services are provided by each staff; Provide direct patient care and carry a caseload as needed; Lead and collaborate as an active team member to promote a team culture in which each participants point of view, experiences, and preferences are recognized, understood, and respected; Conduct staff performance evaluations; Ensure the following is accomplished: o Maintain complete and up to date files to document all services and contacts; o Support and implement agency policies and procedures; o Provide necessary services and resources to participants in order to assist with access to housing in the community; o Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies, housing providers and service providers to meet the needs of participants; o Represent the Agency in the community at various meetings; o Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Possess a masters degree in a social service science field and possess or have the ability to acquire a license or certification through the Department of Health; Has strong clinical skills and experience providing treatment to persons with severe and persistent mental health conditions.
Program management experience is desirable.
Has clear understanding of the barriers experienced by adults with severe and persistent mental health conditions. Knowledgeable about the HARPS model is preferred.
Ability to support the agency in the ongoing development of a trauma-informed, recovery and resiliency principles.
Minimum three years of paid or voluntary experience with adults or youth in a mental health or substance use disorder treatment facility or a supportive housing organization; Minimum one year of supervisory experience; Ability to work well with others; Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing; and Great attendance.
