Job Title: LicensedMarriageand Family TherapistDepartment: didg?alic? Wellness Center - Swinomish Development Authority Summary:The didg?alic? Wellness Center is looking for a marriage and family therapist to assistour clients in navigating their interpersonal relationships with family members and others. Therapists are responsible for meeting with clients and helping them develop a plan for healing, resolution, and/or growth and then assisting with the implementation of the chosen plan. Our marriage and family therapists work with a diverse client base. We see married couples and partnerships, families who are struggling, children in foster homes, and many other adversities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist:Marriage, families, and relationships function and affect mental and emotional disorders. Participation in a supervised practical learning experience, such as an internship, is required if employee is an LMFTA.Works with multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of a Medical Director, Medical providers, Clinical Director, Client Services (when applicable), Substance Use Disorder Professionals and other direct care staff to identify and meet the needs of the patient within the treatment planning process and to assist in their overall well-being.Conducts intake assessment interviews, writes intake assessments, and diagnoses utilizing mental health diagnostic manual DSM 5. Provide strength-based, intensive mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children Conducts individual, family, or group therapy sessions for co-occurring disorders based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines. Develops treatment plans for patients who are dually diagnosed. Provides the appropriate documentation for service delivery including treatment goals, crisis plans, and progress notes in a timely manner. Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of documentation that meets facility and licensing standardsAssist clients with finding resources to help support their progress, such as referring them to housing services, financial assistance and other benefitsProvide in-service training as neededParticipates in clinical supervision at least one time per week with Mental Health Clinical Supervisor.Attend and participate in weekly scheduled Clinical Team meetings Other duties as assigned by the Mental Health Clinical Supervisor. Education and Experience:Master's Degree from accredited college or university in the field of marriage and family counseling and/or all academic preparation required for internship as defined by Washington Statelicensing requirements for LMFT or LMFTA's. Must be currently working towards the fulfillment of intern hours under the supervision of appropriatelylicensed MFT or psychologist licensed per the State of Washington's requirements for supervision of MFTinterns.LMHC, LMHCA, LICSWA, or LICSW will be considered. Preferably 1-2 years' experience in marriage and family treatment. Preferably experience in working with co-occurring and co-morbid conditionsPreferably experience working in an opioid treatment program and/or with individuals in medication assisted treatment.Possess a valid Washington State Driver's license and meet eligibility requirements for tribal insurance. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of human behavior and performance in various systems including relational dynamics and implementing suitable interventions that influence interpersonal dynamics within those systems. Assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders in systemic contextsMust possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and be able to multitask, prioritize, be dependable and reliable.Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental dysfunctions, to provide counseling and guidance. Ability to work in a cross-culture environment, understands the social and cultural context of the patients at the didg?alic? Wellness Center. Understands the role of trauma, historical, community, family, and personal experience in wellness and recovery.Understands and adheres to state (RCW, WAC) and federal confidentiality regulations (42 CFR part 2). Applicants must conduct self ethically and professionally at all times. Effective communication' written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.Basic computer and software experience using MS Office products.Considerable knowledge of community resources throughout nearbyCounties.Strong communication, and counseling skills.Must pass extensive criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening. TB testing will be required upon employment.Will be required to obtain first aid and CPR certificates within the first months of employment.
