Job Description ****This is a short term position, target five (5) weeks**** Position Summary The Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical process engineering support such that the safe, environmentally sound, reliable and profitable operation of the units to which the position is assigned is assured.

Duties and Responsibilities Identify opportunities to improve unit safety, environmental performance, reliability, and profitability and develop those opportunities as resources allow, or escalate awareness of the opportunity and seek additional resources as appropriate. Play integral role in unit troubleshooting, taking the lead when necessary to facilitate problem resolution when the problem encountered is technical in nature and requires a Process Engineer's knowledge and expertise. Provide leadership in the identification of key process variables and in establishing safe upper and lower limits of those variables. Be a proactive participant in the Field Support Team (FST), working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, and the other Engineering disciplines to ensure thorough and complete communication of process issues to the team. Participate as necessary in unit PHAs, Bow Ties, and CCD Reviews and when appropriate, lead Management of Change (MOC) reviews. Utilize Risk-Based Decision-Making skills in prioritizing work and communicating incentive to Management and to the FST. Work closely and effectively with Technology Licensors and various discipline subject matter experts. Keep Tech and Ops Management apprised of problematic unit conditions and issues as they arise. Maintain a Process Engineering Proactive Monitoring Workbook for each area s/he is responsible. Maintain proactive monitoring variables, trends, tools, and overall unit proactive monitoring plan to facilitate the performance of the Ensure Safe Production (ESP) process. Spend appropriate time in the field in order to maintain a good awareness of operating issues and concerns. Train console operators on heat and material balances, control of separation processes, and other unit operations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements ****This is a short term position, target five (5) weeks**** Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelors in Engineering; degree in Chemical Engineering preferred At least 8 years experience in similar role 7 years experience in manufacturing (in Operations and/or Technology) and at least one relevant refining technology Experience in Green House Gas and Energy preferred Experience as Process/Operations Support Engineer preferred

General knowledge of refining processes (e.g. Crude Unit, Coker, Hydrotreaters, Cat Cracking, Sulfur Recover, Flare Systems) Working knowledge of process control systems and theory Working knowledge of corrosion mechanisms as they apply to the processes being supported and of the materials, process controls and methods to mitigate those mechanisms Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, data historian browser (e.g. PI Process-book/Vision) and simulation models (e.g. PRO/II, UNISIM, ProMax) Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task; ability to be flexible and adapt to change Self-starter Ability to resolve conflict to successful conclusion Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Results oriented and proactive Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization Strong customer service orientation, ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) prior to the first day of employment Ability to pass drug screening test prior to the first day of employment Ability to pass refinery safety overview (RSO) training prior to first day of employment (e.g. an RSO training course provided by the Occupational Safety Councils of America)

Language Skills Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
