StatementService, diagnose, test, repair, adjust, and overhaul
outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other
related gas and electric powered equipment.Outcomes for Success
- Service power equipment including changing oil, greasing,
fueling, washing, and testing.
- Assemble outdoor power equipment and other mechanical
components according to manufacturer specifications
- Inspect and troubleshoot various types of outdoor power
equipment to diagnose issues and perform repairs as needed to make
equipment function properly
- Create part and cost estimates for needed repairs
- Perform routine maintenance services on small and large engine
power equipment
- Willingness to learn and seek technical/product training when
available
- Ensure work area stays clean and free from debris and
trash
- May perform other duties as assignedWagesStarting wages will be

- 1-2 years small engine repair/service experience preferred
- Small engines diagnostic and repair knowledge
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Aptitude in the usage of various hand tools (screwdrivers,
ratchets, hammers etc.) and measurement tools (e.g., calipers)
- Knowledge of various diagnostic tools
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- High school diploma or GEDPhysical Requirements
- Heavy Work: Lifting or exerting up to 51-100 pounds of force
seldom and/or up to 35-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or less
than 35 pounds frequently to move objects. Heavy work involves
standing and/or walking all the time. Requires the ability to work
alone without risk to oneself and operate equipment without close
supervision.
