Job Description:
Job Summary:Provides Technical sales support for inbound
questions from customers Pacific Woodtech - PWT (distributors,
Lumberyard personal, builders and homeowners) and from internal
sources (Supply Chain/Customer service team, Engineering team,
technical sales voice mail/email and Sales email). Communicates
daily with customers by phone - discusses technical support sales
aids and provides additional product technical support on website.
Product knowledge training for PWT account base including benefits
and features of PWT products, along with software assistance. Helps
development, in collaboration with Business Development Managers-
BDMs, educational programs and tools for distributors to increase
EWP their technical expertise. -Ability to understand production
process and strengths/weakness of PWT products and go to market
strategy.Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Thorough knowledge of
EWP products and terminology (Residential, Non-Residential,
Industrial, and retail (DIY), as it relates to design performance
and system selling. -Complete understanding of competitions'
product lines, selling style and "go-to-market" strategy. -Computer
skills needed to show a high level of technical expertise.

Qualifications/Experience:Associates (2-year) degree or more
required. Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales and
design of EWP products (I-Joist, LVL, LSL, PSL, GLB). Through
knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Understanding of
building practices in North America, residential, non-residential,
and industrial. Practical computer skills such as Word, Excel, EWP
layout and sizing software, and Microsoft Outlook.Major Job
Responsibilities:Bridge for Supply Chain/Customer service team and
BDMs to provide customers with technical and application support of
PWT's product line (non-Engineering, such as repairs or
calculations). Monitor all inbound activity from the technical &
sales voicemail to assure customers have been assisted in their
technical requests. Provide guidance and direction on the use of
all PWT technical literature and design/support tools. Provides
direction and support for "where do I buy your product" requests
(works with BDMs to ensure those requests are directed to the
correct PWT channel partner). On-board and manage all software
requests (CSD). Provides pro-active review, management, and
fulfillment of PWT literature and SWAG for external distribution-
coordinating deployment with BDM's and Supply Chain. Maintain,
monitor, and restock sample packs for external deployment as
directed by BDM's. -Gathers and tracks competitor offering
(product, series, grade, ordering requirements) by
region.Supervision given/received:Directly supervised by President.
-Must exercise considerable degree of ingenuity, initiative and
independent judgment within the President guidelines and company
policies. -Does not supervise other employees.Internal
communications:Frequently communicates with President and BDM's.
-Also regularly interacts with customer service managers, supply
chain team and engineering team.External
communications:Communicates daily with customers by phone.Work
Environment:Office is in home, regional office, or at the PWT
factory. -Maintains a flexible work schedule to accommodate
customers.Travel Requirements: (25% or as required)Travel activity
will be based upon BDM recommendations and President approval. -
-Activity will include major industry trade shows or expos (NAWLA
Traders Market, Deck Expo, etc.) -Dealer (lumberyard) trips to
include reviews, educational and product knowledge trips, or a
requested for current and prospective downstream customers.
Specifier (architect or engineer) training educational events as
directed by President and BDM.Benefits
