Lean Practitioner (Process Improvement) Company: The Boeing
Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Career (Level
3) to join our Lean Manufacturing Office team in Everett,
Washington. The successful candidate will support operating areas
in achieving their business objectives by implementing production
system standards, driving business process improvements, and
applying best practices. This role involves leading and
coordinating multi-disciplinary product teams to plan, solve
complex problems, make decisions, and manage risks, ensuring that
technical, quality, cost, and schedule targets align with current
and future program requirements. While the primary focus will be on
one of the specified locations, the candidate may also be called
upon to provide support in other regional areas as needed. The
candidate will also train others in continuous improvement tools
and principles, assist in updating training materials, and lead
Lean-certified process improvement initiatives. Additionally, they
will support the application of advanced continuous improvement
techniques, contribute to strategy development, and conduct Beta

balanced work relationships. Position Responsibilities: Guiding the
practical application and integration of Boeing Production System
(BPS) implementation across Boeing Commercial Airplanes Working
with all levels of the organization to identify risks, assist and
develop integrated deployment strategies that improve the
production system, and assist with the implementation of these
targets Promoting a continuous improvement and problem-solving
culture Leading and facilitating complex and highly visible process
improvement efforts Instructing and coaching others in continuous
improvement principles and tools, including facilitation of
Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, or
Autonomous Maintenance Workshop Creating enhancements to existing
improvement tools; developing and updating instructional materials
Supporting, coaching and partnering with the manufacturing team to
implement, grow, and sustain the Daily Management structure and
cadence Mentoring future instructors and less experienced
practitioners Supporting the development and deployment of new BPS
tools Participating in or leading maturity evaluation and
assessment activities Reflecting on LMO (Lean Manufacturing
Operation) processes and BPS standards to systematically solve
problems and continuously improve Work will primarily occur on 1st
shift, while occasionally also supporting 2nd and 3rd shifts Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3 years of experience
in using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices
and tools in the workplace 3 years of experience teaching Lean
tools and concepts 3 years of experience leading a cross-functional
team Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office
(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Knowledge of company policies/procedures
for safety EHS OSHA Ability to work a variable shift Preferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 10 years of combined
relevant experience including education 3 years of experience in
Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment 6 years of
experience using Lean Principles and/or Continuous Improvement
practices and tools in the workplace (e.g. Problem solving, Kaizen
workshops, 3p, Value Steam mapping, Process mapping, 5s) 6 years of
experience working in cross-functional teams 6 years of experience
with coaching and facilitating training Willing and able to work a
variable shift (primarily 1st shift) Willing and able to travel
domestically, potential international travel – confirm with hiring
manager Typical Level 3 Education/Experience: Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and
typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 4 years'
related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
